In an effort to expand their player base, PUMA has announced a new, long-term relationship with Kai Havertz, an Arsenal player and German international who will don the Future silo.

Over the past few months, Kai Havertz has experienced a lot of change. The German international moved from Chelsea to Arsenal, relocating to North London. He was also spotted exercising in blackout PUMA Future Ultimate footwear, which suggested that his time with Nike was drawing to an end and that he probably wouldn’t be extending his contract. He began donning an all-red pair during games in September, which all but confirmed it. However, PUMA has now officially announced a long-term agreement.

Havertz will probably wear the current “Gear Up” pack moving forward, but he will still wear the Future Ultimate.

Havertz discussed the new collaboration by saying, “PUMA has always been an iconic brand growing up in Germany, with some of the greatest players ever wearing their products.” Football boots and the way PUMA collaborates with athletes have always been areas in which the brand has led the way.
