Lauren London has had a low public profile since the untimely loss of her long-term companion, famed rapper and activist Nipsey Hussle, in March 2019.
However, she returned to acting in April, co-starring with Michael B. Jordan in “Without Remorse,” a cinematic adaptation of a famous Tom Clancy novel.
In a recent interview with the Los Angeles Times, the “ATL” star claimed that she now picks her acting parts carefully and was pulled to “Without Remorse” due to a personal request from the director, Fox. In the film, she played Pam Kelly.
Lauren London has taken a simpler approach to her domestic life. She has exchanged a number of rental properties for a newly purchased mini-estate in the peaceful Sherman Oaks area.
According to public documents, she bought the residence for $1.7 million off-market. Naturally, the property provides complete privacy with walls, gates, and video cameras.
The two-story structure, which was originally erected in 1949, has been extensively renovated and expanded. It measures roughly 2,500 square feet and has four bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms.
The front yard is gated and boasts a grassy lawn shaded by a giant elm tree, making it suitable for both children and pets.
The quasi-Spanish Colonial villa’s entry is reached via a stone pathway. Inside, the open floor plan includes a living room with a fireplace, a step-down family room, and a dining space that is smoothly connected to the unexpectedly enormous kitchen. The kitchen has been updated with high-end appliances and has an eat-in breakfast bar.
Despite its tiny size by Los Angeles standards, the home has four bedrooms, three on the upper level and one on the ground floor at the rear of the property. Additionally, there is an extra room downstairs that may be used as an office, a cozy gym, or even a fifth bedroom. The master suite on the upper level features a vaulted ceiling, French doors leading to a private balcony, a master bathroom with twin rainfall showerheads and vanities, and a walk-in closet with custom built-ins.
Outside, the remaining 0.15-acre lot includes a driveway that leads to an attached two-car garage. The backyard is mostly hardscaped and has a plunge pool and a built-in BBQ center with a bar, which is ideal for outdoor entertaining.
Lauren London was already well-known for her supporting appearances in various hip-hop music videos in the early 2000s, long before she met Nipsey Hussle. In 2006, she appeared in an episode of “Everybody Hates Chris” before obtaining a huge leading role in the influential coming-of-age film “ATL,” which helped her gain broader attention.
Since then, she has appeared in a number of Hollywood films and television series. The Los Angeles native has also made headlines for her former connection with Lil Wayne, with whom she has a son.
