Renowned DJ and music producer DJ Khaled recently shared a video on social media displaying his two young sons playing with what appears to be a Ferrari Formula 1 car featuring Charles Leclerc’s livery.

In the Instagram video, Khaled proudly showcases his sons, Asahd (7) and Aalam (4), dressed in Ferrari F1 shirts alongside what he claims to be an authentic F1 Ferrari race car. The car prominently displays Leclerc’s number 16.

While it’s uncertain if the car is a genuine Ferrari F1 vehicle, it is evident that it is not the Ferrari SF-24 competing in the current 2024 F1 season. The car in the video resembles an older model, featuring design elements and 13-inch wheels reminiscent of the SF71H, which participated in the 2018 F1 season.

Although Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen drove for Ferrari during the SF71H’s season, it’s worth noting that Leclerc did not compete in that particular car. Leclerc joined Ferrari in 2019, replacing Raikkonen. Nevertheless, when acquiring a car of this nature, one can customize it with any desired number.

Regardless of whether the car is a fully functional Ferrari F1 vehicle or a replica, Khaled’s gesture is an impressive display, providing his sons with an extraordinary plaything. The car, even without an engine, is undoubtedly a high-quality piece of equipment that likely required a significant investment of both money and effort to obtain.

Khaled’s acquisition of this car doesn’t come as a surprise, considering his existing impressive car collection and his passion for Formula 1. He has previously demonstrated his enthusiasm for the sport, being interviewed by Martin Brundle during the grid walk at the 2023 Miami Grand Prix. Thus, adding an F1 car to his collection aligns with his interests.
