Rihanna and her spouse surprised their newborn son with a luxurious penthouse situated in the prestigious and elevated neighborhood of Century City.

Since 2014, Rihanna has chosen to reside in The Century, an exclusive and expensive residential building in Los Angeles. However, with a growing family, employees, and a constant entourage, her three-bedroom, 3,500 square foot home started to feel cramped. To address this issue, the Barbadian superstar decided to invest $21 million in purchasing one of the largest residences in The Century—a penthouse spanning the entire 40th level of the building. This luxurious space encompasses over 9,000 square feet, featuring custom elements and breathtaking views.

The penthouse was originally listed for $28 million, but Rihanna successfully negotiated a significant reduction, potentially leveraging the impending mansion tax in Los Angeles. The purchase was finalized on March 31, just one day before the new tax took effect. By completing the transaction before April, Rihanna managed to save Nick Molnar, the billionaire co-founder of Afterpay, an additional $1.1 million in taxes.

Upon entering the penthouse’s private elevator landing, visitors are greeted by a stunning curved wall of floor-to-ceiling windows in the living room, offering captivating views of the city skyline. The dining area showcases dark brown hardwood floors that seamlessly transition into the all-white kitchen, complete with marble countertops, two islands, and top-of-the-line appliances.

The property also boasts a soundproof movie theater with plush velvet couches and a master suite featuring a curved bedroom, two custom closets, two bathrooms, and a separate lounge area. However, the standout features of the penthouse are its four distinct outdoor terraces facing north, south, east, and west, providing panoramic vistas of the Pacific Ocean, Catalina Island, Downtown Los Angeles skyscrapers, the San Gabriel mountains, and even the snow-covered Mount Baldy.

While Rihanna’s monthly HOA fee for the penthouse amounts to a substantial $8,814, the benefits are equally impressive. She enjoys access to the building’s premium amenities, including four designated parking spaces in the garage, a 24-hour concierge, security guards, an outdoor pool, lush gardens, on-site storage, a restaurant, conference rooms, and much more.
