A rare photo showed The Real Slim Shady scrolling, if the antique phone even has that feature.

In fact, the phone is so old that enthusiasts believe it is the latest in an elaborate hoax.

Eagle-eyed admirers discovered the old gadget in an Instagram post tagged with Eminem by DJWhooKid.

The caption read: “And by the way, yes.” He still carries a BlackBerry phone.

With over 3,500 likes (at the time of writing), enthusiasts probed deeper after the image was shared on Reddit.

Some admirers believe the joke is similar to his other long-running joke about his selfie talents.

“One user responded: ‘”I mean, blackberry phones don’t even work anymore so… I’m inclined to believe he’s running with the joke too. It’s his classic, dry style of humour,” said one
