Rick Ross, a producer, record executive, and rapper, just acquired a “$5 billion” private plane.

Ross noted that it was his first plane, but it was unlikely to be his last, as he revealed his new acquisition.

The Grammy-nominated singer claims to be an ardent car collector, devoting a significant percentage of his $55 million net worth to automobiles.

He recently conducted his own auto exhibition at his Atlanta home, displaying over 100 of his vehicles.

Rick Ross’s massive new jet can carry up to eighteen passengers.

Ross modified it to make it more spacious, but it was originally designed for 20 seats.

Speaking of which, the aircraft has been entirely transformed, with sumptuous leather seats interior and eye-catching paintwork outside.

With a large “Rick Ross” inscription on the fuselage and a black and gold silhouette, it’s rather striking.

Several well-known celebrities remarked on the rapper’s Instagram images of his latest acquisition.

Big Sean, TY Dolla Sign, and Busta Rhymes, three additional rappers, took the time to praise Ross.

Dwayne Johnson, a former wrestler, and German fashion designer Philipp Plein both made statements.

The aeroplane in question is a Gulfstream G550 from 2012.

In fact, Wells Fargo—the bank—purchased it brand new before one of Rick Ross’s firms, “Maybach Air,” bought it in 2023.

The 47-year-old is so devoted to the German automaker Maybach that his record label, Maybach Music Group, is named after it.

Though it’s unclear what Rick Ross means when he calls it a “$5 billion jet,”

A Gulfstream G550 can be purchased for between $15 and $40 million.
