According to a rumour, Taylor Swift has established ground rules in her relationship with Travis Kelce, and the NFL star is not pleased with some of them.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end has found himself in the spotlight due to his relationship with the pop star, and she is believed to be concerned about his public image, particularly after his intoxicated performance at the Super Bowl parade.
And now, six months into their relationship, the singer believes she is in a position to lay some ground rules.
Travis is thought to agree with the majority of the regulations, but others reportedly make him roll his eyes.
Taylor is ‘OK’ with one of his new regulations, which forbids him from going to stɾιρ clubs, but another, which prohibits him from posing with female fans, has left him frustrated, according to a source.
The football player appears to grasp Taylor’s need and aptitude for creating her $1.1 billion public image, but he also apparently feels the need to set a limit.
‘He has no interest in engaging in a sophisticated media game that will make him reconsider every decision he makes. That’s not his style, says the source.
Kelce was caught wearing a t-shirt from a well-known Las Vegas stɾιρ club on his way out of Allegiant Stadium in November, after his Chiefs defeated the Raiders.
The tight end took a moment to greet fans on his way out, and there was, as always, a lot of interest in what Taylor Swift’s beau was wearing, given his love of design.
And his shirt aroused some questions, as one fan’s social media posts revealed that it included the words ‘Crazy Horse, Las Vegas’ – the name of the Sin City stɾιρ club, Crazy Horse 3.
It has been confirmed to DailyMail.Com that Kelce was not wearing it as part of a paid endorsement; it was his personal choice.
Taylor also apparently expects her NFL boyfriend to FaceTime her instead of messaging her while they are separated by their prosperous careers. However, this is not a regulation as such, but rather a suggestion or request.
‘She didn’t express it outright, but she secretly wants to know where he is and who he is with. Taylor is a strong judge of character and is concerned that some of his buddies are red flags,’ the person told the site.
Travis is noted for his fashion sense, particularly his game-day outfits. He even had his Super Bowl outfit planned before the Chiefs booked their flight to Las Vegas.
However, the artist is believed to have granted him a $500,000 closet allowance to enhance his appearance with ‘expensive duds.’ The songstress’s Super Bowl outfit alone cost more than $60,000.
‘She likes that he takes risks with his fashion choices, although some of his clothes have been questionable,’ the person added.
‘He’s at a whole new level of celebrity, so taking it up with designer clothes is just part of the package. Taylor claims she isn’t changing him; it’s an evolution.
However, the source emphasised that the pop icon was not attempting to control her NFL beau, but rather to assist him adjust to the degree of attention he had never experienced before.
Neither she nor Travis are telling each other who they can and cannot associate with since it would be a’relationship deal breaker’.
Taylor is apparently acting out of love to keep her beau’s public image on track, and she and Travis are both ‘dedicated to doing whatever it takes to make their relationship stronger.’
The revelation comes after Travis was recently labelled a’red flag’ for his actions during and following the Super Bowl.
He was chastised for smiling in a ‘tone deaf’ selfie with a police officer outside a Kansas City restaurant just hours after the tragic massacre at the Chiefs’ Super Bowl parade.
Kelce, photographed holding a beer, was all grins when he walked into the Granfalloon Restaurant and Bar the night following the incident.
According to TMZ, he was having supper with other teammates who were already inside, just hours after the dramatic scenes in the city.
He eventually matched Taylor’s contributions to the GoFundMe page for the family of Lisa Lopez-Galvan, who was killed in the shooting.
He gave two $50,000 donations through his charity, the Eighty-Seven & Running Foundation.
Earlier that day, an intoxicated Kelce could hardly speak or stand up when he took the stage in front of a million ecstatic Chiefs supporters at the end of the team’s parade.
After being handed the microphone, Kelce attempted to lead a drunken rendition of Garth Brooks’ 1990 country classic ‘Friends In Low Places’.
At the beginning of the song, he changed one of Brooks’ lyrics to make a joke at San Francisco, singing: ‘Blame it all on my roots, I showed up in boots, and spoiled the Niners’ romance.
However, after a day of partying in Kansas City, Kelce appeared to be exhausted, struggling to get his words out and finish the song.
At one point, Mahomes and Chris Jones had to intervene to keep him from falling over, before eventually snatching the mic from their drowsy colleague.
The first’red flag’ came during the Super Bowl, when Kelce erupted in wrath on the bench against Chiefs coach Reid.
Swift, who was watching from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, was enraged because he did not receive the ball on a play early in the game.
As he returned to the bench, Kelce confronted his 65-year-old coach before being hastily pulled away by a teammate.
Cameras captured Kelce storming at the coach and banging into him, forcing him to lose his feet for a brief moment.
Kelce, 34, then grabbed his coach’s arm as he turned to face him, shouting in his face, before being dragged away by Chiefs teammate Jerrod McKinnon.
