TMZ reported earlier this month that Adele is currently remodeling the $58 million property to her liking. The British singer and her boyfriend, Rich Paul, acquired the sprawling estate in February 2022.
The Rocky film, directed by John G. Avildsen and released in 1976, became one of Stallone’s most renowned works. Stallone’s portrayal of the beloved character earned him a nomination for Best Actor, and the film went on to win three Oscars, including Best Picture. Stallone also received a nomination for Best Supporting Actor when he reprised the role of Rocky in the 2016 spinoff, Creed.
In a separate interview with The Hollywood Reporter in November 2022, Stallone expressed his frustration regarding past social media posts attacking Irwin Winkler, the producer of the Rocky and Creed movies, and his son David Winkler. He also voiced his discontent regarding the ownership dispute surrounding the property.
Since Adele’s purchаse оf the Lоs Angeles mansiоn, she has been actively renоvating the prоperty, while Stallоne has relоcated tо Palm Beach, Flоrida. The singer’s repоrted 30-year mоrtgage payments fоr the estate amоunt tо $227,000 per mоnth.
Stallone’s creation of the Rocky franchise began with a 90-page screenplay written in just three days in 1976, which introduced the iconic character of Rocky Balboa.
While discussions for another Rocky movie were on the table, Stallone expressed his desire for fair compensation after 45 years. He questioned why he couldn’t receive a portion of what he had made all those years ago, emphasizing the need to level the playing field.
Adele’s acquisition of Stallone’s property was not without its share of negotiations, with the preservation of the Rocky statue playing a significant role in sealing the deal.
