Sylvester Stallone, 75, recently shared a playful video on Instagram as he wrapped up filming for “The Expendables 4” alongside his “action brother” Jason Statham, 54. In the video, Stallone jokingly referred to his departure from the film as “abandonment,” while Statham playfully teased him about leaving the set. They engaged in friendly banter, with Stallone humorously asking if Statham was feeling incredibly depressed about his departure. Statham responded by saying he was rather happy and asked why Stallone was leaving. Stallone replied by saying he was leaving Statham on his own and jokingly called it a mutiny and abandonment.
The two actors laughed and exchanged remarks, with Statham saying it would be a very lonely set without Stallone. Stallone playfully acknowledged Statham’s comment and called him a capable captain. Statham jokingly expressed mock annoyance, saying Stallone should be sorry and apologetic instead of being happy about leaving. With laughter from onlookers, Stallone had the last word by humorously mentioning that he would be thinking about Statham while enjoying luxurious meals.
Stallone captioned the video by referring to Statham as his action brother. The clip showed the duo looking smart in an unknown UK location where the movie set is based. Stallone wore a tan checked shirt over a black T-shirt, while Statham sported a stylish black motorcycle jacket over a white shirt.
“The Expendables” franchise began in 2010, with Stallone starring in and directing the first installment. He reprised his role in two sequels. The fourth film will feature newcomers Megan Fox, Andy Garcia, Tony Jaa, and 50 Cent. Additionally, there are plans for a spin-off called “The Expendabelles,” which will primarily feature a female cast.
