Sylvester Stallone Keeps Two Turtles from “Rocky” for Over 40 Years. Veteran actor Sylvester Stallone, known for his role as Rocky Balboa in the “Rocky” film series, recently revealed that he still keeps two turtles from the original 1976 movie. The 72-year-old actor shared a photo of the turtles, named Cuff and Link, on social media, stating that they are now approximately 44 years old.
In the “Rocky” film, Stallone’s character falls in love with the owner of a pet store while purchasing supplies for his turtles. The turtles, Cuff and Link, became beloved companions on-screen and made a cameo appearance in the 2018 film “Creed II.”
This revelation surprised many fans, as Stallone had never previously disclosed that he had kept the turtles as pets. It is not the first time Stallone has adopted pets from his movies; he also took in the dog Butkus, who appeared in both “Rocky” and “Rocky II.”
Butkus became Stallone’s close confidant and companion during his early days as an actor. Although the dog passed away long ago, Stallone often shares nostalgic photos and fond memories of their time together.
In addition to his iconic role as Rocky Balboa, Stallone is also known for his portrayal of John Rambo in the “Rambo” film series. The fifth installment, titled “Rambo: Last Blооd,” was released in 2019 and premiered at the Cannes Film Festival.
Stallone’s enduring connection with his on-screen pets and his successful film career continue to captivate audiences around the world.
