According to TMZ, musician Rick Ross just paid $4.2 million in cash for fellow rapper Meek Mill’s Atlanta-area mansion. The two “Ima Boss” rappers have a long history together; Mill first signed with Ross’ record label, Maybach Music, in 2011.
Mill took to Instagram last month to boast the eight-bedroom, nine-and-a-half bathroom manse because he was dissatisfied with the job his realtor was doing. The caption of the photo began with “MANSION FOR SALE IN ATL” and added, “My realtor not getting this off fast enough & I think I can lol.” Mill tweeted on Monday that the home, which features a tennis court, an attached and detached two-car garage, media room, gym, sauna, and pool, had been on “sale for like 2 years” with no takers. The contract took less than a month to finalize after the Philadelphia native broadcast the video himself.
The huge, empty three-story estate, which the rapper claims he’s never lived in, has mostly white walls and ceilings in the main rooms, a gray chef’s kitchen, and two towers topped by turrets attached to the back of the property.
Ross appears to be on a property purchasing frenzy, as he posted a snapshot to Instagram less than a week ago of himself standing in front of his most recent real estate acquisition in Texas. The Miami native also has a 235-acre estate near Fayetteville, Georgia, nicknamed “The Promise Land,” where he allows two buffaloes, four horses, and a bull to graze freely. Last month, TMZ claimed that his neighbors had complained about buffaloes wandering into their yards.
