To celebrate the Manchester City team’s historic treble-winning season, Kevin De Bruyne gave his teammates platinum iPhones that were specially crafted.
Before the current Premier League season began, the Belgian sensation gave away 26 phones that were specially commissioned and valued at £5,000.
At a surprise event on Thursday, De Bruyne showcased the opulent pieces, which were created by iDesign Gold, a global leader in custom mobile design.
The action was motivated by Lionel Messi’s earlier this year presentation of 35 24-carat gold iPhones, valued at £175,000, to the Argentina World Cup winning team and staff.
In response to De Bruyne’s suggestion, Pep Guardiola’s team is in negotiations to finalize a collaboration to produce customized, one-of-a-kind iPhones.
